What the heck has this world come to?
I am watching Basketball Wives (another guilty pleasure - Reality TV) and one of the "wives, ex-wives, ex-girlfriends" is at the IVF clinic with her man. The doctor is explaining to him that they will use a sample of his sperm and her eggs. He will then fertilize them and once they have acceptable embryos, the couple will choose the two that they want, based on them being two males. OMG. Just having a baby isn't good enough? Now people want to pick the gender.
Get over yourselves people.
When you think it can't get any funnier....just stick around for a bit...I promise it will!

Sibling Class
What a great idea! Princess and Lil Bear thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I truly believe they may have actually learned something. Even if it was - don't hold the baby by its toes or its ear...but nonetheless, they learned! Each of them got an adorable Big Sister/Big Brother shirt! I can't wait for them to be able to wear them in a few months.
We got to take a tour of the 5th floor, not that we really needed that, but it was fun. Best part - we got to see 3 newborns in the nursery! One of them was only 2 hours old!! Just perfect, all of them. I just can't even believe my babies were once that small!!! Then a nurse wheeled by with one of them and he was crying, just the sweetest don't-mind-to-be-awake-at-3am cries I have ever heard! Oh man I cannot wait for #3 to get here!

It's just not the same.
With #3 well on his way, this pregnancy has been anything like the first 2. I am only 22 weeks along (today!!) and I feel at about 35 weeks. This creates a little anxiety for the future and how I might feel when I am actually 35 weeks. I know what the outcome is though, so I know it is all worth it!
Today, I let the kids eat a handful (read: a cup of) mini chocolate chips. My bad. It has been a long day to say the least. LOL!
I took a nice 2 hour nap today, but woke up feeling a little dizzy and light-headed. Wondering if maybe I slept on my neck wrong?!?! I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and can't wait. It will be nice once I start getting ultrasounds often, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing my babies in utero as frequently as I have in the past! Okay, so part of this pregnancy will be the same!
I would love to find a wine that I could enjoy! Can't drink beer or a mixed drink while pregnant and I sure could have used something today. Instead, I settled for a hot bath. Finally shaved those hairy legs, since in the shower, it just ain't happenin. Had to tell Dan that he might have to be recruited for the clean-up of my Samantha unless he wants me to embarass both of us in the operating room when #3 is born.
This heat is exhausting. Even for the kids. Now you know that its hot when the kids don't even want to be out for that long. I didn't even check the temperature today - I knew it would just say "DAYUMMM - its a hot mutha out here."
The kids are doing a sibling class at the hospital I will deliver at tomorrow. I am pretty excited for this, considering poor baby S.A. almost got whiplash when Princess and Lil Bear were holding her. If all goes well, we will do another class the month before #3 gets here! Wish us luck! The good news is that they will practice holding DOLLS!!
Here's to a great week!
